About
Rooted in Strong Foundations.
Guided by Compassion.
I’m Rhiannon, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Integrative and Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner, and founder of Eat Real Food RDN. I specialize in working with preventive-minded women who want to strengthen their health through a gut-first, whole-food approach — particularly during life's transitions such as pre-conception, pregnancy, postnatal, and hormonal shifts of perimenopause and beyond.
When digestion is supported and blood sugar is stable, everything downstream improves: hormones, inflammation, mood, metabolism, and long-term resilience. Every life stage/transition requires a thoughtful, integrated strategy — not fragmented advice.
My Approach
My work is built on four interconnected foundations:
-
Nourishing, whole-food nutrition
-
Intentional movement
-
Restorative sleep
-
Strategic stress management
These systems are deeply connected — especially during hormonal shifts, when the body becomes more sensitive to stress, disrupted sleep, and blood sugar fluctuations. Nutrition cannot be separated from the rhythm of your life.
My recommendations are grounded in both formal education and clinical training. I hold:
-
A Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology from Rutgers College, Rutgers University
-
A Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University
-
A Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship (MS/DI), with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, from St. Elizabeth University
-
Integrative & Functional Nutrition Certified Practitioner (IFNCP) through the Integrative & Functional Nutrition Academy (IFNA)
This background allows me to combine nutrition science, physiology, behavioral psychology, and integrative strategies into practical, evidence-informed guidance tailored to women throughout the stages of life.
Why This Work Matters to Me
Before becoming a dietitian, I began my career in corporate Human Resources. I experienced firsthand how easily health falls to the bottom of the list while managing long hours, high expectations, and chronic stress.
I understand the tension many women feel — wanting to prioritize their health while balancing careers, families, and full lives.
Nutrition had been a passion of mine since my teen years, and I eventually felt called to pursue it fully. Returning to school to complete advanced training allowed me to dedicate my career to helping women navigate these transitions with clarity, confidence, and grounded support.
Today, I Help Women:
-
Restore digestive balance
-
Support shifting hormones
-
Stabilize energy and metabolism
-
Reduce inflammation
-
Build strength and resilience for the decades ahead
I don’t believe in extreme protocols, elimination trends, or fear-based food rules. I believe in strategic, sustainable shifts that respect your physiology — especially in seasons such as fertility, pregnancy, and perimenopause, when the body requires a more nuanced approach.
You don’t need to overhaul your life. You need a plan that works with your body — not against it.
If you're ready to approach women’s health from a grounded, gut-first foundation and build lasting resilience through young adulthood, midlife and beyond, I would be honored to support you.
